Aboriginal Bush Traders Cafe

You can’t experience the true Darwin life without having a taste of the bush. Do not miss out on this fine little cafe like no other!

Being the only bush food cafe in Darwin, you’ll be enjoying many native Australian products and bush tucker in your dishes. Try the freshly made damper with bush jam (Kakadu plum, dessert Quandong or many other choices) and a cup of bush tea!

If you’d like to add a flavour of the wilderness to your picnic, pick up a jar of wild rosella chilli sauce (don’t worry, it’s not actually made from rosellas!), or native sea celery mustard pickle to spread on your sandwiches or meals.

Eva’s Botanical Garden’s Cafe

The George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens is a must when visiting Darwin, and nestled within this green space is this gorgeous and quaint cafe.

Nothing beats taking in the beautiful scenery with a delicious treat on a morning walk or afternoon break.

They have a pretty jam-packed menu – from petite brunch options to substantial pastas. If you’re after something small, grab their signature almond croissant and dip in a black coffee- it will have you cafe-ing like a true French madame or monsieur!

Darwin Fish Market

Hands up seafood lovers, especially mud crab fanatics!

This fish market is Darwin’s top spot to crack into freshly cooked muddies and other treasures of the sea.

This market is super proud to sell local, Australian-only seafood, which means you can’t get anything fresher than this. What can be more relaxing than enjoying a fresh platter of local juicy oysters while gazing at the beautiful ocean on a day off?

Alfonsino’s

Who can say no to a good Italian place when travelling to a new city? This beloved restaurant is all about authentic Italian mouth-watering delicacies.

Their doors are currently only open for dinner, so come here for your carb fix 6 days a week!
